This week we had lunch together at The Plough to bid farewell to Yiran, who has come to the end of her stay with the group and heads back to Beijing University of Science and Technology to complete her Masters degree.

The group held its annual Christmas social this year in three installments because of various competing travel plans etc. Firstly there was Secret Santa round one over coffee on campus, then dinner at Rudy’s pizza restaurant (with Secret Santa round 2, followed by bowling!

The group celebrated the occasion with a wonderfully al-fresco lunch and bubbly at Joe’s bar. Much like today’s weather, the projects this year were not exactly free from disruption but Vicky and Matt both did a great job nevertheless!
It was great to have you in the group – good luck for all your future endeavours and well done again!
